NYC subway murder suspect Claude White allegedly stabs Rikers Island doctor

The man charged in a fatal knifing aboard a Manhattan subway train last month allegedly stabbed a mental health clinician on Rikers Island, sources told The Post Monday.

Accused murderer Claude White, 33, allegedly attacked the healthcare professional at the problem-plagued jail’s George R. Vierno Center on Saturday afternoon, stabbing him in the face and arm, city Department of Correction sources said.

The clinician was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital and was expected to survive.

DOC officers recovered a blade at the scene.

White, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 319 pounds, is being held at Rikers without bail on murder charges in the stabbing death of Bronx resident Tavon Silver.

The homeless man allegedly attacked Silver, 32, during a fight on the No. 4 train around 4 a.m. June 17, as it pulled into the 14th Street/Union Square station, cops said.

Prosecutors claimed White, who was arrested two days later, “casually and callously” smoked K2 after plunging a knife into Silver’s heart during a drug deal gone wrong.

The argument broke out after White allegedly gave Silver K2 in exchange for crack cocaine, but Silver smoked it without delivering on his end of the bargain, prosecutors said.
